Domain Rating is Ahrefs’ 0–100 score for how strong your backlink profile is. A DR 8 site gets ignored in all three conversations.

Realistic timelines

DR 30 from a fresh site: typically 2–4 weeks. DR 50: 3–6 weeks. DR 70+: one to two months, because links at that tier are genuinely harder to place. Ahrefs recalculates on its own schedule, so there’s sometimes a lag between links going live and the score updating.

The honest part
